Privacy Policy

What we collect
- From you: your name, email address, and billing country/postcode, so we can take payment and deliver your certificate.
- Your submitted content: the name you dedicate the roach to, the roach’s name, and your roast text.
- Optionally, a third party’s email address, if you choose to send a gift message.
- Automatically: standard server logs and, if you consent, analytics.
Payment data
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy for how they process it.
Third-party email addresses
If you supply someone else’s email address, we use it for exactly one message and nothing else. It is never displayed publicly, never sold, never added to a marketing list, and never shared. If that person opts out, we replace the address with a one-way hash so we can refuse future messages without retaining the address itself. Anyone can ask us to delete their data by emailing info@roastmyex.com — including people who never bought anything.
What is public
Only what you explicitly opt into: the roach name, your roast text, and your first name, in the registry, after human approval. Never your surname, email, payment details, or the recipient’s email.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax law requires. Registry entries are kept until you or the person named asks us to remove them. Opt-out hashes are kept indefinitely — that is what makes an opt-out permanent.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to processing. Email info@roastmyex.com and we will action it. You do not have to be a customer to make a request.

We use cookies necessary for the cart and checkout to function. Any analytics or marketing cookies are only set with your consent.
